Review

Join Charlie Chaplin in 4 of the 12 comedies produced by Mutual Film company in 1916-1917.

1. The Count

Charlie, a comically inept tailor's assistant, and Eric, his mountainous boss, offer rival impersonations of Count Broko in order to meet Edna Purviance as Miss Moneybags..

2. The Vagabond

A drama with moments of comedy offers Charlie as a street violinist who rescues Edna from gypsies to fall in love with, lose, and ultimately regain her after she is discovered to be wealthy.

3. The Fireman

Charlie is a clumsy but eager apprentice fireman under crooked precinct chief Eric Campbell.

4. Behind the Scenes

A satire of life at a silent movie studio with more than a passing dig at Mack Sennet's Keystone and a poke at early trade Unionism, not to mention authentic glimpses of 1916 movie making and Chaplin's only full-scale pie fight.
