In deep space, an ancient war wages as the Solnoid and Paranoid armadas battle for control over the newly formed planet, Chaos--the product of an advanced terraforming project. Ordered to defend the planet from the advancing Paranoid forces, the valiant crew members of the crippled Solnoid cruiser, "Star Leaf", find themselves cut-off from the fleet.

Betrayed by the Solnoid high command and manipulated by both sides, the surviving members stumble across a top-secret plan that will shake their loyalty to its very foundation! Who is Catty, and why is she not listed in the computer files? Why is their computer, OX-11, withholding vital mission data? Together, they must make a decision that will affect the future of the Solnoid race - and a race that does not yet exist! The planet Chaos holds the key to the mystery, but the Paranoid fleet is very close behind...
