Duel in the Sun (1946)

Review

Pearl Chevez goes to live with relatives in Texas after her father is hanged for shooting his wife and her lover. Welcomed by Laura Belle and her elder lawyer son Jesse, she meets with hostility from the ranch-owner himself, wheelchair-bound Senator, and with lustful interest from younger brother Lewt. Right away, existing family tensions are brought out and she is placed directly in the center.
