David Niven plays a grandfather who can't keep either of his restless grandchildren in check as they plot a crime against themselves in order to rejoin their mother abroad! Teaming up with two down-on-their-luck safecrackers, the two kids bank on a plan to hold themselves hostage as a means to get overseas. But one thing after another gets botched in the mock kidnapping, and the children soon regret their caper.
