The 80s classic starring Marla Gibbs, who first gained a following by playing Florence on the Jeffersons, is back with the complete first season, including the series pilot! Gibbs stars as the witty, wisecracking housewife Mary, whose husband, Lester, is a contractor; they have a fourteen year old daughter named Brenda, and together this small household go through the trials and tribulations of Anyfamily, USA. Mary becomes enmeshed in the lives not only of her own family, but of her best friend Rose Lee Holloway, with whom she often sits on the stoop of their building and discusses the matters of the day. Frequently, these include the activities of the feisty upstairs neighbor, Sandra, played by Jackee, and the lovable but gossipy next door neighbor, Pearl.
