George Reeves' (Ben Affleck) star has gone out. The lead in TV's 'Adventures of Superman' is found dead from a single bullet wound, leaving behind his fiancée, Leonore Lemmon (Robin Tunney), and a legion of fans. However, it is his grieving mother who will not let the questionable circumstances of his demise go unaddressed. When the LAPD close the case, Helen hires a private dick, Louis Simo (Adrien Brody) to investigate further. Simo soon uncovers that a torrid affair the late actor had with Tony Mannix (Diane Lane) may hold the key to solving the mystery...
