Simona Sana (Mimsy Farmer) is a young pathologist working in a morgue in Rome, Italy. With a wave of violent suicides, attributed to a summer heat wave, Simona is driven to exhaustion from the intense heat and the long hours. All the while, Simona struggles to complete her college theses when one suicide victim is brought in. A young Catholic priest, Paul Lenox (Barry Primus), identifies the corpse as his sister. Simona reconizes that the girl may have been murdered, and teams up with Father Lenox to solve the mystery. and stay one step ahead of a mysterious killer...
