This box set features the following films:

Scarlet Street (Dir. Fritz Lang) (1945): When a man in mid-life crisis befriends a young women, her venal fiance persuades her to con him out of some of the fortune she thinks he has.

Contraband (Dir. Michael Powell) (1940): Danish freighter captain Andersen, unwillingly delayed for inspection by a British warship, obtains British shore passes for himself and his first officer...only to have them stolen by mysterious passengers "Mrs. Sorensen" and "Mr. Pidgeon." Unwilling to be taken advantage of, Andersen follows his strayed passengers ashore, and soon is caught up through one crowded night in the machinations of a German spy ring.

Strange Impersonation (Dir. Anthony Mann) (1946): Brenda Marshall stars as Nora Goodrich, a single-minded scientist who spurns marriage for the sake of her pioneering work with anesthetics. When her jealous lab partner (Hillary Brooke) sabotages an experiment, Nora's face is badly scarred and -- through a twist of fate -- she swaps identities with a devious blackmailer (Ruth Ford), letting the world believe she is dead. Under the guise of Jane Karaski, Nora has her face surgically altered, establishes a new career and works her way back into the lives of her former enemies and lovers, where she can carry out her carefully plotted revenge.

They Made Me a Fugitive (Dir. Alberto Cavalcanti) (1947): Trevor Howard plays Clem, an ex-RAF man who is drawn into the world of crime after the war. His psychopathic crime boss Narcy (short for Narcissus), betrays him when he refuses to deal in drugs, and he's framed for killing a police officer and imprisoned. The bitter Clem quickly escapes and sets off a country-wide man hunt.

The Hitch-Hiker (Dir. Ida Lupino) (1953): Two fishermen pick up a psychotic escaped convict who tells them that he intends to murder them when the ride is over.
