Geno Star is a Las Vegas lounge singer whose ambitions exceed his talent.
Desperate for money to help his career, Geno asks a small-time mobster named Nick, for a loan. Agreeing under the condition that Geno kill a fellow bookie, Geno is unable to commit the murder and runs away. When Nick learns of his screw-up, he kills the bookie himself and pins it on Geno.
Meanwhile Geno's three best friends, Vinnie, Frank and Dominick come to Vegas for a visit and find out he's a murder suspect. After raising enough money gambling, the three hire private detective Peter Dunn to uncover the truth and free Geno. Outrageous characters and hilarious situations and make this a truly funny film.
