Based on the novel by Michael Crichton, The Andromeda Strain is a TV mini-series about the impending end of the world! When a U.S. satellite crash-lands near a small town in Utah it unleashes a deadly plague that kills virtually everyone in the surrounding area. As the military launch a comprehensive search through the devasted town they reveal two survivors: a baby and an old man. If their team of scientists can find out why the virus spared them they would have the key to immunizing the rest of the population, so they isolate themselves in an underground laboratory to try and crack the problem. However, they only have a few days until the virus has spread through to the rest of Earth.
