This film begins with the killing of Nakaru, InuYasha's biggest enemy. With Nakaru out of the picture, InuYashu and his friends can return to living their regular lives. However, little time passes before they are swept back up in another battle. Soon, a new enemy is born in the form of Kaguya, who plans to shroud the world in eternal darkness. Determined to stop her, InuYashu, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo join forces and prepare to fight.
