That laugh-crazy Carry On shower at their hilarious best!
Two school inspectors (Leslie Phillips and Rosalind Knight) come to the school to assess the performance of the staff in controlling the children. It is a constant battle between the kids and the teachers, with some teachers like Miss Short (Hattie Jacques) favoring the 'hard-hitting' method while others such as Mr. Milton (Kenneth Williams) favoring a less disciplinary approach. The pupils hear that their headmaster (Ted Ray) is planning to apply for a new post, and they want him to stay. There is a 'blossoming romance' story thread and the kids have fun sabotaging a piano, a rocket, and a play.
Carry On Teacher was the third Carry On film, released in 1959. It features Ted Ray in his only Carry On role, a young Richard O'Sullivan and a young Larry Dann, making the first of his four Carry On appearances.
