A parody of violent cop shows and movies such as 'Dirty Harry' and 'Hunter', 'Sledge Hammer' had a short run on network television but has garnered a cult fanbase since its cancellation.

David Rasche stars as Hammer, a humorless, trigger-happy cop who shoots first and asks questions later. After blowing up all of Los Angeles at the end of the first season, season 2 begins with a disclaimer stating that the new episodes take place a few years earlier. This gives merely a hint of the off-beat, often politically incorrect humor that drove the program. This collection features all 19 episodes of the second season, which would prove to be 'Sledge Hammer's' last.
