The David Spade Collection

Review

Dickie Roberts: (Dir. Lisa Kors ; Sam Weisman, 2003) Starring Saturday Night Live favourite David Spade, 'Dickie Roberts' is the hilarious story of a former child star who, after his hit TV series is axed, falls on hard times and tries to re-create the lost childhood he yearns for. With great visual gags straight out of the 'Saturday Night Live' academy of slapstick, Dickie Roberts is an enjoyable and light-hearted take on the pitfalls of stardom.

Black Sheep: (Dir. Penelope Spheeris, 1996) There's one in every family!

Meet Mike Donnelly (Chris Farley). He's one lovable, hilarious accident waiting to happen. Dedicated to helping his big brother Al (Tim Matheson) win the race for Washington State Governor, he turns every opportunity for votes into an embarrassing disaster.

Campaign aide and super slacker Steve Dobbs (David Spade) volunteers to baby-sit Mike. Big mistake! When Mike discovers that the incumbent governor is a crook, he dives headfirst into a whole new level of well-intended destruction.

Chris Farley and David Spade, the stars of 'Tommy Boy', once again show why they are "the comedy team of the '90s!" (Leo Quinones, KIIS-FM). Directed by Penelope Spheeris and co-starring Gary Busey, 'Black Sheep' is "a crowd pleaser directed with maximum energy!" (Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times)

Tommy Boy: (Dir. Peter Segal, 1995) Party animal Tommy Callahan is definitely a few cans short of a six pack. But after seven years, Tommy's finally earned his diploma - and a cushy job at Callahan Auto Parts. Returning home, Tommy gets some more great news: his dad is marrying a real '10' and Tommy will get the stepbrother he always wanted. But as fast as you can say 'Who killed the keg?', the family business starts tanking. Now Tommy's got to hit the road with his dad's right-hand man, a smug number-cruncher. And what these two don't know could fill a book - and a riotously funny movie!
