Director Neil Jordan has won the admiration of movie lovers around the world with such memorable films as The Crying Game, Interview with a Vampire and The End of the Affair. His latest film, Breakfast on Pluto, features a cross-dressing, Candide-like lead character, Patrick 'Kitten' Braden (Cillian Murphy), who has been raised in a small Irish town by the local priest (Liam Neeson). Obsessed with finding his birth mother, Patrick travels to London where he is befriended by a romantic magician (Stephen Rea) and unwittingly finds himself involved with members of the IRA. Patrick manages to survive with the aid of his wit and charm, plus a sweet refusal to let anyone change him.
