True Confession:
Helen and Ken are a pretty strange couple. She is a pathological liar, and he is a scrupulously honest (and therefore unsuccessful) lawyer. Helen starts a new job, and when her employer is found dead, all the (circumstantial) evidence points to her. She is put on trial for murder, and her husband defends her. He thinks she is lying again when she says she didn't do it, and insists she plead that she did, but in self defense. Charlie, a shady, odd character who may or may not know something about what really happened, hangs around the courtroom and jail making rude comments and noises. After Helen is acquitted, he tries to blackmail them.

The Princess Comes Across:
A stage-struck Brooklyn actress draws on her talent, posing as royalty aboard an ocean liner bound for Hollywood. Aiding in the deception is her companion, the phony Duchess Gertrude. But their ruse becomes hilariously complicated when they unwittingly become involved in a murder. Meanwhile, fellow passenger, maestro King Mantell is smitten by the 'princess', and he and his partner soon get swept up in her charade.

Love Before Breakfast:
Bill Wadsworth works for the wealthy Scott Miller who dabbles in the oil business. Both men are in love with Kay and will do anything to win her affection. To get rid of his competition, Miller offers Wadsworth a chance to run the company's operations far away in Japan and he snaps at the opportunity, much to Kay's dismay. To further complicate things, Miller arranges for the beautiful Contessa to set sail with Wadsworth in the hope that he will forget about Kay. After a series of mishaps and misunderstandings, Kay must ultimately decide which man she wants to marry!

Hands Across The Table:
Regi Allen, a marriage-minded manicurist employed in a swanky hotel barber shop hopes to snag a wealthy husband. Her attentions are soon coveted by has-been millionaire Theodore Drew III, who won't take no for an answer. Soon the attraction is mutual, but there's one big problem: neither of these two gold diggers has what the other wants - money! The plot thickens when Regi discovers that Theodore is engaged to marry a very wealthy woman. But his infatuation with Regi has him attempting to extricate himself from his upcoming nuptials in a hilarious sequence of mishaps and miscommunication.

We're Not Dressing:
Stephen Jones, a singing deckhand who works on the yacht of rich and beautiful Doris Worthington, who he is smitten with. Among the other passengers on the wealthy heiress' yacht are Edith and her tipsy friend Hubert and the hilarious George Burns and Gracie Allen. When the yacht has a bump with the ravages of nature, the whole bunch ends up shipwrecked on an island and is forced to fend for themselves. While Burns and Allen think flora and fauna are a vaudeville team, Jones comes to the rescue with his good-natured knowledge and his comforting crooning. Despite some fears and misunderstandings, Jones is able to win the girl, save the day, and sing some sensational songs to boot!

Man Of The World:
A young American girl visits Paris accompanied by her fiancé and her wealthy uncle. There she meets and is romanced by a worldly novelist; what she doesn't know is that he is a blackmailer who is using her to get to her uncle.
