Boyd Gaming has joined forces with Raider Nation. The company’s 10 Nevada casinos in the Las Vegas area are now the official and exclusive casino partners of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium.
Boyd CEO Keith Smith said the company was happy to partner with the NFL franchise.
“Since arriving in Las Vegas, the Raiders have greatly enhanced and strengthened our city’s reputation as the Entertainment and Sports Capital of the World, giving fans across the country another reason to visit southern Nevada. Boyd is proud to partner with an organization and team that share our long-standing commitment to the well-being of the southern Nevada community.”
Branding of Boyd’s Nevada casinos will be prominent
Like many partnerships between gaming companies and sports teams, Boyd’s name and branding will get prominent placement at Allegiant stadium.
What makes the deal noteworthy is that the Raiders are rebranding the entire west-side upper deck of their stadium to promote Boyd’s Nevada casinos.
So, when fans attend Raiders games next season, they’ll get a heavy dose of the Boyd name, as well as familiar casino properties like the Fremont Hotel & Casino.
In addition to in-stadium branding, the Raiders’ weekly in-season radio show will be “presented by Boyd”. Boyd will also be featured in various Raiders ad channels.
Raiders president Sandra Douglas Morgan believes both companies have much to gain from the partnership and said:
“We are proud to partner with Boyd Gaming, who share our values of integrity and commitment to community. We know that with this respected partner, we will be able to provide Raider Nation with even more exciting activations and experiences.”
Raiders deal gives Boyd name a boost
The Boyd name is a legendary one in Las Vegas. But the brand’s properties tend to stand in the shadows because they aren’t located on The Strip.
Vegas visitors are most likely familiar with Fremont Hotel & Casino because it’s a flagship property on Fremont Street. Beyond that property, though, the average Raiders fan may not know any of Boyd’s other nine properties in and around Las Vegas.
The partnership gives Boyd the chance to promote those properties, which include:
- Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa
- Cannery Casino Hotel
- Sam’s Town Las Vegas
- Suncoast Hotel & Casino
Boyd announced the partnership one day after it reported its fourth-quarter and full-year results from 2022. The company’s adjusted earnings jumped nearly 20% year-on-year in Q4. Net income increased by more than 60%.
Boyd is looking to continue its positive momentum in 2023. Two recent developments could contribute to that goal. Back in November, the company acquired Pala Interactive. The move should improve Boyd’s online casino presence.
Boyd is also building a new casino in Henderson, Nevada.
