Lighting up a cigar and celebrating a win is a pastime as 0ld as time. Firing up a stick after a victory in Las Vegas is a tradition for some who may not smoke at home.

Not everyone partakes of cigars at home and often Las Vegas is an excuse for visitors to treat themselves to things they may not enjoy where they live.

A new dedicated cigar bar has opened in Paris Las Vegas. The new Montecristo Cigar Bar is the second location for the brand in Las Vegas. The original location is still open across the street at Caesars Palace.

Cigar bars are great places for those who don’t normally smoke cigars to sit back, relax, consume a cigar and sip an adult beverage with friends. These bars are especially good for those concerned with offending others visiting Las Vegas.

Not everyone who visits Las Vegas enjoys the smell of cigars. A cigar bar offers a “safe space” so to speak for those who want to enjoy a smoke without offending those around them in a casino.

There are only a few dedicated cigar bars inside Vegas Strip casinos. However, some “cigar-friendly” bars sell cigars where smokers can feel comfortable lighting up.

Montecristo Cigar Bar at Paris Las Vegas

Montecristo Cigar Bar just opened its newest location inside Paris Las Vegas in the space formerly known as Napolean’s Lounge.

The space is 2,835 square feet and has state-of-the-art ventilation along with an air purification system. There’s seating for up to 70 guests. Similar to the Caesars Palace location there are eight bartop video poker machines.

There are more than 300 cigar brands available to purchase from the humidor at Montecristo Cigar Bar.

Guests can order food from the dining options at Paris Las Vegas via Caesars Eats, the resort’s mobile ordering service. Dining options include Gordon Ramsay Steak, Nobu, and more.

Montecristo opens at 11 a.m. during weekdays. The bar opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday so football fans can light up and watch the games.

More Vegas Strip cigar bars

In addition to the new bar in Paris, there are a few others dedicated to cigars that are also closed off from passersby on the Vegas Strip.

Sticker shock happens often on the Vegas Strip. Much like bars and restaurants, expect to pay more than prices at home for cigars on the Vegas Strip.

Some of the Cigar Bars require a minimum spend on busy nights so don’t be surprised if a purchase of a cigar and drink or two are expected.

Montecristo at Caesars Palace

This cigar bar is located near the sportsbook and offers similar amenities as the new location inside Paris Las Vegas. There are more than 1,000 cigars available from the humidor at Montecristo.

Guests can bring their cigars but there’s a $10 cutting fee. There are multiple rooms and a bar with video poker machines.

Eight Lounge at Resorts World

Eight Lounge inside Resorts World has indoor and outdoor lounge seating as well as a large bar for guests. The outdoor seating has heat lamps for the cooler temperatures during the winter months.

There are more than 100 cigars available in the humidor to purchase. While the bar doesn’t open until the afternoon, the humidor is accessible from 11 a.m. daily for those looking to purchase a cigar.

Don’t be surprised by a minimum order on busy nights.

Davidoff of Geneva at Fashion Show Mall

The Davidoff of Geneva cigar lounge is located outside of the Fashion Show Mall across the street from Wynn Las Vegas. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a great location for visitors looking to enjoy a smoke on the Vegas Strip but outside of a casino.

Since this isn’t located inside a casino, the prices may be a little less expensive. Additionally, there are daily specials including “social hour” where drinks may be up to 50% off.

Casa Fuente at Caesars Forum Shops

This cigar shop and bar is located inside the Forum Shops mall at Caesars Palace. It’s a bit away from the action and a good option for someone looking to spend time in the mall without shopping.

The bar at Casa Fuente specializes in mojitos and also offers espresso for those looking for a drink with an edge but not alcohol. There are sometimes special spirits available as well.

Cigar-friendly bars around Las Vegas

There are a handful of Vegas Strip casino bars that are cigar-friendly. These bars offer cigars to purchase and an open environment for the smoke to move away from guests who may not prefer the smell.

Since these are casino bars open to all, the cigar options are limited. However, the locations might make these the more accessible places to light up a cigar.

Bellagio has two cigar-friendly bars – Petrossian and the Baccarat Lounge. Petrossian is just off the lobby and has wide open seating along with a piano player. It’s one of my favorite bars on the Vegas Strip.

Overlook Lounge at Wynn Las Vegas is a recently renovated casino bar. There are about 10 cigars available to purchase as well as a great menu of spirits.

Rhumabar at The Mirage is an indoor/outdoor bar and lounge that specializes in rum drinks. In fact, there are a few rum + cigar pairings on the menu for those looking to have to perfect drink to compliment their smoke.
