It is a big day for Fanatics Sportsbook as it just went live in New York. As of today (Feb. 29), eligible New York residents and visitors can access the online platform of the Fanatics Sportsbook on iOS and Android.

Fanatics Sportsbook is run by Fanatics Betting and Gaming, a subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings Inc. It is the tenth sportsbook operator to join the busy NY online sports betting market.

New York marks Fanatics Sportsbook’s 15th sports betting state

February has been a successful month for the US gambling operator as Fanatics just launched an online sportsbook in Indiana and entered the Michigan online casino market last week.

Overall, New York marks the operator’s 15th sports betting state. Apart from New York, Indiana and Michigan, Fanatics Sportsbook is live in:

  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Kentucky
  • Iowa
  • Mayland
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee
  • Vermont
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

Upon its launch scheduled for Mar. 11, North Carolina is expected to follow soon.

Fanatics Casino is currently available in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Online casinos in New York remain illegal, but you can follow their legalization progress with our  2024 online casino bill tracker.

PointsBet player account details transfer to Fanatics Sportsbook

In August 2023, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring PointsBet’s US operations and planning the migration of PointsBet customers to the Fanatics Sportsbook app. All this time, Fanatics has been working to migrate PointsBet customers in various states to its online gambling platform.

As Fanatics said in the press release, the process is now complete for New York, and as of today, each PointsBet customer’s details will automatically migrate to the Fanatics Sportsbook. The information includes:

  • Username
  • Password
  • Account balance
  • Rewards points
  • Responsible gaming settings

By offering fast signup, easy betting, and transparent withdrawals, the Fanatics Sportsbook “makes being a fan easy” while “disrupting the sports betting industry” with new features like:

  • FanCash system allows players to earn up to 5% of the total of their bet in FanCash
  • Discover feed helps customers find key stats and trending bets
  • The search bar comes in handy as it shows recent searches, allowing players to quickly look for the bet they want
  • Players also have access to responsible gaming tools to manage their time and money
  • Option to use the Help Center, which has knowledgeable agents providing 24/7 coverage

Fanatics enters a highly competitive New York online sports betting market

Fanatics is the tenth licensee to join New York online sports betting. After Fanatics acquired PointsBet, the New York State Gaming Commission allowed the company to take over the license in October.

Following a record-breaking 2023 and prosperous December, NY sportsbook operators generated a new high in January of $211.5 million from almost $2 billion in a betting handle.

Fanatics will now join big players like FanDuel and DraftKings, which reached $100 million and $71 million in revenue in a single month, respectively.
