A global digital sports platform, Fanatics Betting and Gaming, has increased its US online gambling presence by launching the Fanatics Sportsbook in Iowa. The US sportsbook launched on Feb. 6.
Sports enthusiasts living in and visiting Iowa can download the Fanatics Sportsbook on iOS and Android, set up their accounts, and begin their sports betting experience.
Iowa marks the twelfth state for the Fanatics Sportsbook, which had previously gone live in Pennsylvania. The Fanatics Sportsbook is also available in:
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Kentucky
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Ohio
- Tennessee
- Vermont
- Virginia
- West Virginia
Just in time for the Super Bowl, Fanatics joins a busy market of 16 operators, which collectively reported a $282.72 million handle and $26.25 million in Iowa gaming revenue in December.
Player account details automatically migrate to the Fanatics Sportsbook
In August 2023, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring the US businesses of PointsBet and planning the migration of PointsBet customers to the Fanatics Sportsbook app.
On Feb. 6, in Iowa only, each PointsBet customer’s account details automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook. That includes:
- Username
- Password
- Account balance
- Rewards points
- Responsible gaming settings
The Fanatics Sportsbook says players can enjoy fast signup, easy betting, and transparent withdrawals.
The Fanatics Sportsbook also comes with various features designed to improve user experience. That includes the FanCash system, which allows players to receive up to 5% of their wager back for use on bonus bets or purchases on Fanatics.com. Here’s how it works:

Catfish Bend Casino changes from PointsBet to Fanatics Sportsbook
As of Feb. 6, the retail sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington, Iowa, began changing its management and name from PointsBet to Fanatics Sportsbook.
According to the press release, Fanatics Betting and Gaming will soon install new self-service betting kiosks from Suzohapp to “better serve customers.”
The release further states that the new look Fanatics Sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino will continue to be “an upscale lounge” and the place to “watch the game in comfort with a multiscreen video and odds display wall.” The place also features a sports bar and slot machines.
