Just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, the FanDuel Sportsbook is available in two new locations: Connecticut and Washington State.
This means, Fanduel is looking to capitalize on Super Bowl betting, which now has two more options available.
The Great Northwest
To kick off sports betting in Washington State, FanDuel partnered with the Suquamish Tribe to open a 2,086-square-foot sportsbook.
The FanDuel Sportsbook at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort features three live betting windows and 12 IGT betting kiosks.
“We can clearly say that the FanDuel Sportsbook is coast to coast,” Kevin Hennessy, director of Publicity at FanDuel, said in an email.
Rion Ramirez, CEO of Port Madison Enterprises, the business arm of the Suquamish Tribe, had this to say:
“We are excited to have formed a partnership with FanDuel, America’s #1 Sportsbook, and be their exclusive partner in Washington State. The joint effort between the Suquamish Tribal Gaming Commission, the Washington State Gambling Commission, FanDuel and a number of our Casino employees made this all possible and we are thrilled that our sportsbook is now open.”
With the addition of Washington State, FanDuel is now active in 14 states, including:
- Arizona
- Connecticut
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Michigan
- Mississippi
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- West Virginia
Speaking of Connecticut
FanDuel launched another retail sportsbook in time for Super Bowl LVI, this time on the East Coast.
The Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook is a massive 11,000-square-foot gaming space with a 140-ft video wall. The sportsbook also features a mezzanine level with 22 luxury seats, 222 total seats, and a full bar. On the betting side of things, FanDuel installed 39 betting kiosks and multiple teller windows.
To clarify, this is a soft launch for the sportsbook. The official grand opening is scheduled for March 5.
Jeff Hamilton, president, and general manager of Mohegan Sun, had this to say:
“This new venue completely transforms Mohegan Sun’s old Race Book space into one of the largest and most dynamic FanDuel Sportsbooks in the United States.”
Retail sports betting launched on September 20, 2021. The unique thing about CT sports betting is there are only three licensed operators in the state.
- Mohegan Sun + FanDuel
- Mashantucket Pequot + DraftKings
- CT Lottery + Rush Street Interactive (Sugarhouse Sportsbook)
Additionally, online sports betting in CT began on October 19.
