Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort will hold a series of promotions celebrating the property’s fifth anniversary.
Ocean’s general manager Bill Callahan believes the extended celebration offers up the best that the casino and its partners can offer.
“As we commemorate Ocean’s 5th Birthday, we are thrilled to present our customers with a packed calendar of events, promotions, local partnerships and entertainment throughout the entire season,” he said in a statement.
The festivities are slated to begin on Memorial Day Weekend and end on Labor Day. A total of more than $5 million in gifts and prizes will be offered.
Sweepstakes, fireworks, music highlight Ocean Casino Resort birthday summer
The celebration will begin on May 26 and the property’s official birthday party will take place on June 28. The slate of events will end on September 4.
During that time, the casino has a variety of events planned. On Memorial Day weekend, the casino will offer a $300,000 sweepstakes that includes daily prizes of $100,000 on each day of the weekend.
Ocean will unveil a pop-up birthday bar at its 1927 Lounge on the property’s birthday. The bar will be open Thursday through Sunday from June 28 through the summer. There will be fireworks and drone shows during the more than three-month celebration, too.
Additionally, the following musical acts and DJs will perform at Ocean’s Ovation Hall and HQ2 Nightclub and Beachclub, including:
- May 6: Markus Schultz
- May 13: Morten
- May 27: Fisher, Cedric Gervais
- June 10: Two Friends, America

- June 24: Tiesto
- June 30: The Australian Pink Floyd Show
- July 8: Above and Beyond

- August 26: Tyler Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line)
The summer-long celebration comes in the wake of more than $100 million in property development in 2022 that included 460 new rooms and suites. Also, the resort will refresh more than 300 rooms and a pair of multi-floor suites this year.
Ocean Casino Resort history and revenue
Ocean Casino Resort opened in June 2018 after a lengthy saga in which there were multiple failed attempts at buying and renovating it. The property was the Revel when it opened in 2012, but two years later it closed, along with three other Atlantic City Casinos.
Developer Glenn Straub bought the property in 2014. He planned to rebrand it as “TEN.” However, his plans fell through, and he sold the property in January 2018. Six months later, Ocean Casino Resort opened.
In terms of revenue, Ocean is the smaller player among the city’s eight casinos. Depending on the time of year, the casino generates anywhere from around $1.2 million to nearly $4 million:
