Dragon Link Winner Brings Home $1.5 Million

What do you get when you mix a smoke-free slots room, a dragon-themed game, and a $250 bet? If you’re one lucky Florida resident, you get a $1.5 million jackpot.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek announced that a Florida local hit a jackpot worth $1,493,111 while playing Dragon Link in the casino’s smoke-free pavilion. It was the largest jackpot hit in a smoke-free casino in Broward County this year.

Dragon Link is a progressive slots game, which means all Dragon Link machines are linked to a jackpot that increases incrementally every time someone plays the game.

Dragon Link has history of huge payouts

If Dragon Link sounds familiar, that’s because the Aristocrat Gaming title has a long history of making millionaires.

Near the end of 2022, the game had paid out at least eight two-comma jackpots in the span of a year. Here are a few highlights:

  • December 2021: A woman named Gloria won a $1 million Dragon Link jackpot. “All I wanted for Christmas was to hit that progressive jackpot,” she said in a statement. “I still can’t believe my holiday wish came true!” The following month, she won another $1 million jackpot.
  • January 2022: A Sunrise resident won a $1.3 million jackpot on a $250 Dragon Link bet at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
  • May 2022: jackpot at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. At the time, it was the third $1 million Dragon Link jackpot at the casino.
  • September 2022: A bettor placed a $25 wager on a Dragon Link Golden Century machine and won a $1,099,859 jackpot.
  • June 2023: Two different Florida residents hit $1 million jackpots on Dragon Link machines at Hard Rock Hollywood.

Needless to say, Dragon Link has made quite a name for itself in the Sunshine State. It’s a staple of the Seminole gaming circuit, with machines at Coconut Creek, Hard Rock Tampa and Hard Rock Hollywood.

Dragon Link a catalyst for Aristocrat expansion

Aristocrat has done a good job of leveraging Dragon Link’s popularity. The company struck a deal with the Seminole Tribe in late 2022 to introduce a Lightning Link lounge at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee. The lounge, while named for Aristocrat’s Lightning Link title, also includes multiple Dragon Link machines.

The game’s influence goes beyond Florida, too. For example, in April 2021, Las Vegas’ Win-River Resort & Casino opened a Dragon Link Den. The den is home to 20 Dragon Link games.

Aristocrat has used the same lounge/den concept for its other popular titles, including Buffalo Zone. This month, Palms Casino opened Buffalo Zone, a gaming area dedicated to 10 different Buffalo-themed slots games.
