See The Updated 2019 NBA Finals Odds Heading Into Game 3

Written By Martin Derbyshire on June 3, 2019 - Last Updated on January 13, 2023

The 2019 NBA Finals is all knotted up at one game apiece and the odds on the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors to win it all have changed significantly.

Most sportsbooks across the eight states where sports betting is now legal had the two-time defending champion Warriors as favorites from the start.

However, the Raptors won Game 1 convincingly. And, although the Warriors won Game 2 in Toronto to steal away the home-court advantage, the Raptors got close at the end.

As a result, oddsmakers in NevadaDelawareNew JerseyMississippiWest VirginiaRhode IslandPennsylvania, and New Mexico are now giving Toronto more of a chance.

The latest NBA Finals odds

Below is a look at the 2019 NBA Finals odds at four of the top legal sportsbooks in the country. This includes NJ sports betting operators FanDuel Sportsbook and PointsBet. Plus, PA sports betting operator Parx Sportsbook and the newly launched SugarHouse Sportsbook PA sports betting app.

NBA FinalsParx (PA) [Open]FanDuel (NJ) [Open]SugarHouse (PA)PointsBet (NJ)
Golden State Warriors-295 [-315]-290 [-330]-295-286
Toronto Raptors+230 [+250]+230 [+270]+230+221

As you can see, it’ll now cost you less money to bet on the Warriors to win a third straight title. Plus, you’re going to get paid less now if you bet on Toronto to win its first-ever NBA title than you would have at the start of the NBA Finals.

You’ll see an even more dramatic change in these odds if the Raptors can win Game 3.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven NBA Finals is set for Wednesday, June 5 in Oakland, California. ABC will continue its live TV coverage of the entire series here in the US.

Injuries have plagued the Warriors thus far. Back-to-back NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant has yet to play and sharpshooter Klay Thompson did not finish Game 2.

However, with the series shifting to the Bay Area and the Warriors home floor, Golden State are clear favorites to win Game 3.

NBA Finals Game 3 odds

Here’s a look at the 2019 NBA Finals odds for Game 3 at the same four legal sportsbooks:

The teams will stay in Oakland for Game 4 on Friday, June 7. Then, they will travel back to Toronto for Game 5 on June 10.

If it is necessary, Game 6 will be in Oakland on June 13. Finally, if the series goes to seven games the deciding game will be in Toronto on June 16.

Updated NBA Finals MVP odds

Through the first two games, no clear 2019 NBA Finals MVP favorite has emerged.

Warriors star Stephen Curry was the moneyline favorite in this market from the beginning and that remains the case. However, it’ll now cost you less to bet on Curry than it did before Game 1.

Here’s a look at the NBA Finals MVP odds at FanDuel and PointsBet:

NBA Finals MVPFanDuel [Opening]PointsBet
Stephen Curry-125 [-167]-154
Kawhi Leonard+234 [+245]+230
Kevin Durant+3000 [+1600]+3000
Draymond Green+350 [+700]+500
Klay Thompson+2300 [+2300]+2500
Kyle Lowry+15000 [+7000]+10000
Pascal Siakam+5000 [+6300]+4000

As always, it’s a good idea to keep checking the 2019 NBA Finals odds between games. Oddsmakers will adjust the odds on each team to win it all based on the outcome of the games. The same is true for the 2019 NBA Finals MVP odds.

Plus, oddsmakers will have fresh odds ready for each individual game based on a few key factors. These include the outcome of the previous game and where the game will be played. Plus, injury reports and which team is attracting the most action.

Additionally, if you want to place a bet on the NBA Finals you should always shop around at different sportsbooks to make sure you get the best price on your wager.
