The New Hampshire Lottery is entering Fiscal Year 2024 on a record-setting high note.
For its Fiscal Year 2023, the state lottery generated over $603 million in total sales, shattering its previous high of $536.5 million. The 12% increase in sales also helped generate an all-time high of $187 million in support of New Hampshire public education.

In a press release, Governor Chris Sununu praised the education contributions from the state lottery.
“With over $603 million in lottery sales, children across New Hampshire hit the jackpot with $187 million in profits returned to support public education just this year. With no income tax taken from winnings when you buy in New Hampshire and millions in support of public education, playing the lottery is a win-win.”
Since its inception in 1964, the New Hampshire Lottery has generated over $2.64 billion for public education, supporting students, teachers and schools across the state.

Over the past five years, state lottery sales have grown 55%, an increase of roughly $213.2 million, making it one of the fastest-growing lotteries in the US.
Charlie McIntyre, the Lottery Executive Director, said he was proud of his team’s work and the contributions to state education.
“We are extremely proud to break yet another sales record while delivering on our promise to continually maximize revenue for New Hampshire education,” McIntyre said in an NH Lottery press release. “The New Hampshire Lottery strives for excellence, and we will continue to work tirelessly to meet and exceed the expectations of our New Hampshire players.
With record high numbers from Mega Millions and Powerball, sports betting and our expanded menu of in-store and online games, we are confident the New Hampshire Lottery will continue to succeed and grow throughout Fiscal Year 2024 and beyond.”
In addition to lottery revenue, New Hampshire sports betting, led by the DraftKings Sportsbook, helped contribute $35.6 million in education revenue.
For Fiscal Year 2023, players gambled more than $709 million through the DraftKings online platform and roughly $174 million at retail sportsbooks.
