A global sportsbook operator, Tipico, announced that its free-to-play game is now live in Ohio. The announcement comes just ahead of the state’s regulated online sports betting launch scheduled for Jan. 1, 2023.
While most Ohio sportsbooks offer pre-launch online registrations, Tipico took a different approach. As of Nov. 16, players statewide can visit www.WinOhio.com to enter a scratch-and-win contest to earn bonuses and promo bets.
By launching its free-to-play game, Tipico joins several other leading sportsbook operators, like FanDuel, Caesars and BetMGM. All of which offer pre-registration bonuses for Ohioans.

Apart from gaining a market presence in Ohio, Tipico is also available in New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana and Iowa.
Tipico launches ‘Win Ohio’ statewide campaign
To celebrate its expansion into the Ohio sports betting market, Tipico launched its “Win Ohio” statewide campaign.
The “Win Ohio” free-to-play game interface features four new gameplay opportunities every week:
- NFL Thursday Night Football
- College Saturday
- NFL Sunday
- NFL Monday Night Football matchups.
Prizing throughout the contest period includes a $10 promo bet earned for each week of participation. Weekly prizes come in the form of bonus funds and are based on leaderboard placement as follows:
- $500
- $250
- $100
Each of the remaining competitors who end up in the top 100 will receive a $50 bonus prize.
In addition to earning bonuses and cash rewards, players will accrue entries into Tipico’s Grand Prize Sweepstakes, which rewards 10 lucky winners with exciting prizes showcasing the best Ohio has to offer, including:
- Luxury hotel stays
- 5-star dining experiences
- Premium tickets to Ohio sporting events
- VIP concert tickets.
The prize package is a $1,500 value. And, it can be claimed in the form of Tipico bonus funds if desired by the winner.
Tipico joins FanDuel, Caesars and BetMGM in Ohio
Before Ohio online sports betting officially goes live in January, players can register with several leading sportsbooks. Caesars and FanDuel have already announced their presence in Ohio and started taking early registrations.
Caesars Sportsbook offers a special $100 sign-up offer. All players need to do is use a promo code CZR1H and deposit a minimum of $20 before Jan. 1, 2023.
FanDuel, on the other hand, promises $100 in bonus funds once the app is fully live.
For those who wish to take advantage of this early registration process, BetMGM is also offering $200 in bonus bets. Once the sportsbook gets final clearance to start full operations, players will be able to benefit from those bonus bets.
Earlier this month, the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) approved more licenses for popular sportsbook operators and their service providers.
