All About Betfred Sportsbook’s Pre-Launch Offer For Mobile LA Sports Betting

Written By Chris Feery on November 10, 2021

The legal sports betting scene is about to get very crowded in Louisiana. Betfred was one of the first to mark its turf with the opening of a retail sportsbook in October 2021 in partnership with Paragon Casino in Marksville.

The sportsbook is also ready for online sports betting to go live in 55 parishes. You can sign up now and be ready to hit the ground running with a $150 free bet offer. Let’s take a look at what you need to do.

Betfred Louisiana pre-launch offer

New players at Betfred who sign up in advance of the official Louisiana launch date are eligible for $150 in free bets once the site goes live. You must be 21 or older to legally bet on sports in the state. Bets must be placed in one of the 55 parishes where Louisiana sports betting is allowed. If you’re not, wagers won’t go through.

The $150 credit can be used the same as cash for the purposes of placing bets. You can’t take out the amount of the bonus, but there’s just a simple 1x playthrough requirement attached. There’s no code required to access the offer. Clicking through on our links and creating an account will make you instantly eligible.

When Is Betfred coming to Louisiana?

A Betfred retail sportsbook opened at the Paragon Casino in Marksville. Other retail sports betting outlets have followed as that portion of the legal launch is already underway. Legalization officially happened in June 2021 after voters in 55 of 64 parishes gave their approval during the 2020 elections.

The launch date for online sportsbooks hasn’t been made official, but it’s expected to be happening soon. Since Betfred already has a foothold in Louisiana, they’re in the mix to be one of the first to launch, most likely before 2021 comes to a close. The pre-launch offer all but confirms that the company expects to be welcoming online players soon.

Where else is Betfred available?

The UK-based sportsbook has been expanding its presence in the US. Betfred made its initial debut on our shores in Iowa in 2020, and has since launched in the Pennsylvania and Colorado markets as well. In addition to entering Louisiana, Betfred is also working on regulatory approval in other states, including Arizona and Virginia.

What’s it like playing on Betfred?

While Betfred is a bit new to US markets, there’s a ton of experience behind the scenes. The UK-based company traces its roots back to 1967. The company is a big player in overseas sports betting markets and is aiming to do the same here in the US.

When you visit the site, you’ll find a real clean look and that navigation is simple. Everything is clearly labeled, so you won’t need to do a ton of hunting just to find what you want. As for markets and bet types, Betfred has a great selection to choose from.

All of the major sports are here. If you want to bet on the Saints, Pelicans, or LSU, no worries. For those looking for other options, there’s also Hockey, Soccer, Boxing, MMA, and much more.

You’ll find all of the top bet types as well, ranging from the main pregame wagers to live betting. Betfred may not have a massive profile like some of the top online sportsbooks just yet, but the odds are on point and there are plenty of solid promos to be found.

How to sign up at Betfred

The sign-up process at Betfred is similar to what you’ll find for any other legal online sportsbook. To gain access to the pre-launch offer, just click through the links on this page. That brings you to Betfred’s registration where you’ll do the following.

  • Click ‘claim bonus.’
  • Follow the prompts to enter your account information.
  • Verify your identity, confirm your age, and create your account.

There is no promo code needed as long as you follow the above steps. In terms of time, you’re looking at about three minutes, while the details you’ll need include all standard stuff like name, date of birth, and the last four of your social.
