A presence in most of, if not all, six states that allow people to legally play real-money online casinos is essential for any game developer like Greentube. Greentube can now check another, and arguably the most important, state off that list.

Greentube has a license to supply its games to Pennsylvania online casino app operators. Other recent moves by the company could lead to an even greater presence in the US online casino market.

Pennsylvania regulators license Greentube’s online casino games

According to a news release from Greentube, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved its online casino supplier license application. This marks the second new US market for Greentube in 2023. In February, Connecticut regulators awarded Greentube a similar license there.

In the release, Greentube emphasizes that its most popular slot games like Diamond Cash and Thunder Cash will be available to players in Pennsylvania. Greentube has existing relationships with Pennsylvania online casino licensees due to such collaborations in Michigan and New Jersey.

For example, BetMGM added Greentube titles to its app for New Jersey players in June 2022. Other partners already in Pennsylvania include Bet365 Casino, BetRivers Casino and Unibet Casino.

It’s unclear how soon those apps will add Greentube slots. Legally, they can do so as soon as they are ready. With this license, Greentube is now active in the three most lucrative online casino markets in the US. It is not content with that development, however.

Greentube seeking further expansion

In the news release, Greentube CFO Michael Bauer explained Pennsylvania licensure is just the latest step in a bigger plan. At this time, Greentube has not made any official statements about interest in Delaware or West Virginia licensure. However, a focus on Pennsylvania might have been dominating the company’s resources.

“Receiving a license to offer our market-leading content in Pennsylvania is another important milestone for Greentube as it continues to expand its presence across North America,” Bauer stated. “We are looking forward to working alongside operators within the state to serve players with our unique brand of entertaining content.”

Toward that end of growing Greentube’s business in the US, Greentube has been spending some cash. In October, Greentube acquired Present Creative, another game developer. Additionally, it bought a 40% stake in a different studio, Flamingocatz.

Those capabilities and interests give Greentube a broader reach. Pennsylvania opens up more opportunities to capitalize on those investments.
