Gambling technology company Playtech has secured a Family Feud live casino deal with television production and distribution company Fremantle.
This partnership marks a significant shift in the online casino terrain, as the exclusive agreement entails Playtech taking the reins to develop the “Family Feud” franchise.
The Family Feud franchise agreement has a worldwide reach and covers regions including the US. The partnership also includes the intellectual property rights of Family Fortunes.
Playtech Live CEO Edo Haitin said this week in a Playtech news release:

I’m thrilled that we could partner with Fremantle to bring the legendary Family Feud to the gaming world. Our vision at Playtech Live is to always deliver the best possible entertainment experience, and this collaboration underscores that commitment.”
Fremantle executive speaks on Family Freud’s legacy
Family Feud stands as one of the most iconic American television game shows, created by Mark Goodson. This revolves around two families competing in a game where they answer survey questions.
Erica Gadecki, Fremantle senior vice president of partnership solutions, noted that this collaboration will solidify the show’s timeless appeal and entertainment value in television history.
“A collaborative effort with Playtech on the iconic gameshow Family Feud is how Fremantle continues to deliver unparalleled entertainment in today’s market. Playtech’s Live platform is a perfect opportunity to expand into the interactive entertainment landscape while building upon the Family Feud legacy.”
Fremantle specializes in delivering multi-genre intellectual property, which includes a handful of the biggest entertainment TV formats, award-winning films, documentaries and other production kinds. Some of its other most popular and fan-favorite productions are:
- The Price is Right
- The X Factor
- American Idol
- Press Your Luck
- Got Talent
- American Gods
Aaron Berndtson, head of strategic partnerships and entertainment at Playtech, says, “We are thrilled to embark on this extraordinary journey alongside Fremantle. The partnership with Fremantle is another milestone to delivering unique and captivating experiences to players worldwide.”
Playtech’s development in the US online casino sector
Playtech is not shying away from making a series of moves. Just recently, the iGaming technology provider forged an exciting partnership with betPARX in Maryland.
This development followed the launch of a new live online gameshow in New Jersey. The company has been vocal about its expansion ambitions, and it’s clear that they are not just empty words, as evidenced by several other recent partnership agreements, including:
- Betfred
- Acquiring a minority stake in Hard Rock Digital
- 10bet and a few others
Recently, there has been a noticeable trend in the live casino industry where classic films are being seamlessly integrated into online casino games. An example of this is “The Godfather” slot game, which made its debut in Michigan to great acclaim.
Meanwhile, Playtech is distinguishing itself by venturing into less saturated TV formats within the online gambling ecosystem.
