PointsBet USA announced a partnership agreement with 1/ST TECHNOLOGY, a business division of The Stronach Group, North America’s dominant thoroughbred horse racing company. More specifically, The Stronach Group partnered with PointsBet USA’s subsidiary, the Premier Turf Club.
The new agreement for wagering products centered around online horse racing involves 1/ST’s brand portfolio of products and services. These include the world’s leading pari-mutuel tote and ADW technology firms, 1/ST BET, Xpressbet, Monarch Content Management and AmTote International.
Key features of the deal
According to the terms of the agreement, PointsBet and 1/ST TECHNOLOGY will cooperate on the integration and launch of a 1/ST BET online horse wagering product on the US gambling scene where advance deposit wagering (ADW) is allowed.
The agreement will drive vertical integration across ADW’s key components – product, tote, and content management – with a focus on improving the PointsBet offering and introducing new bettors to American horseracing.
Through this partnership, racing customers of 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s brands, Xpressbet and 1/ST BET, will be introduced to the world’s sports betting scene, as well as online casino play via PointsBet products. Moreover, the deal covers an array of services and synergies across the companies and is set to deliver a fully integrated, white-label horse betting experience to PointsBet users.
The partnership marks one of the first where a US horse racing firm and sports betting company have aligned to power a licensed ADW operator.
Introducing new bettors to American horse racing
Regarding the strategic partnership announcement, PointsBet Group’s CEO Sam Swanell said via release:
