One of the most popular US lottery games in the country, Powerball has become an official partner of NASCAR. 45 states offer the game including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Powerball will help NASCAR expand its offerings to spectators throughout the country.
US lottery association will heighten the fan experience
In a statement to Gaming Americas, Daryl Wolfe, NASCAR Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer said:
“NASCAR and Powerball have shared in the goal of providing exhilarating excitement for decades while also giving back to the communities in which we are a part of. Powerball creates millionaires every year, and we can’t wait to see the different winning opportunities this partnership will bring to our loyal fans throughout the country.”
Collaboration will commence in the 2023 NASCAR season
The partnership plans to promote a season-long campaign. The campaign will allow one US lottery player to win a $1 million prize. The Powerball winner will be announced at the Phoenix Raceway during NASCAR Championship Weekend, Nov. 3-5.
Additional information on how to enter the contest will be available later, but current Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Drew Svitko, Powerball Product Group Chair and Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director said:
“Powerball and NASCAR both have the extraordinary ability to create memorable moments that bring everyone together, to dream and cheer for something big. That’s why Powerball is proud to partner with NASCAR to bring extra excitement throughout the season, which includes awarding a $1 million prize to a player in Phoenix!”
