In an improbable turn of events a Harrah’s Las Vegas Willy Wonka slot hit two six-figure progressive jackpots in less than three months.

[toc]On June 22 a Willy Wonka: World of Wonka penny-slot machine paid out a $944,337.37 jackpot at Harrah’s Las Vegas. On Labor Day, September 4, the same machine paid out another jackpot, this time rewarding a lucky guest with a $787,842 payday.

Even though slot machines aren’t “hot,” nor are they “due,” I suspect this particular Wonka slot at Harrah’s will have someone sitting at it 24/7 for the foreseeable future.

Penny-slot progressives

Penny slots may not have terrific odds. After all, typically the higher denomination a slot machine is, the better the return to player will be. But for most casino-goers, penny slots are a fairly harmless way to spend some time gambling in a casino.

A good day at a penny slot might cover your buffet. However, a penny slot machine with a progressive jackpot can also provide life-changing moments. Just ask the recent winners at Harrah’s.

In 2016 a woman won a $10.7 million progressive jackpot playing a penny slot at Wynn Las Vegas. That’s not even close to the record for slot machine jackpots either. That number has grown as high as $40 million over the years.

Poker, slots, and table games all provide paths to riches

The rash of jackpots has Caesars touting the many ways  players can become millionaires. For example, the nine poker players who made the World Series of Poker Main Event in final table. Each of those players collected at least $1 million.

According to a press release by Caesars Entertainment, in addition to the WSOP winners, the company’s Las Vegas properties have paid out over nine jackpots of more than $100,000 since April. This includes a $1 million diamond six-card royal flush jackpot at a Crazy 4 Poker table at Flamingo Las Vegas on April 15.

“There are a growing number of ways to win and even become a millionaire at Caesars Entertainment resorts nation-wide. Every year the best poker players in the world gather at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for the WSOP where the winner has been known to take home more than $8 million.

Popular slot machines like Wheel of Fortune, Mega Bucks and Wizard of Oz routinely reach multi-million dollar jackpots. Players can win $1 Million in just one hand at table games playing the 6 Card Bonus wager on Three Card Poker, Let it Ride, Mississippi Stud Poker, Four Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em or Texas Hold’em Bonus.

“With special events and promotions in a number of key markets Caesars Entertainment is consistently pioneering games to offer players innovative and entertaining ways become the next instant millionaire.”
