The lottery app and website, Jackpot.com initiated the new year with a significant expansion, marking its presence in its fourth US state, Massachusetts.

This move follows the successful launch into other flourishing gaming markets, such as Ohio, Texas, and New York lottery markets, which it made in August 2023.

What’s great about using Jackpot.com?

Jackpot.com allows users to effortlessly purchase official state lottery tickets and conveniently claim their winnings directly from their mobile phones, desktops, or any other device. The app revolutionizes the traditional lottery experience by eliminating the need to leave the house.

The innovation embedded in Jackpot.com not only streamlines the ticket purchasing process but also enhances the overall efficiency of lottery operations. Users are promptly notified when they secure a win, eliminating the risk of unclaimed prizes that often result from misplaced or lost physical tickets.

Akshay Khanna, the chief executive officer and co-founder of Jackpot.com said they are thrilled to introduce Jackpot.com to Massachusetts. In a Jackpot.com press release, Khanna further emphasized the app’s role in preventing users from missing out on their wins:

“We’re excited to bring Jackpot.com to Massachusetts and offer customers a better experience to get in on the fun and try their luck on a winning ticket. Every year, billions of dollars from the lottery go unclaimed due to lost tickets or otherwise.

When you play the lottery with Jackpot.com on your phone, tablet, or computer, there’s no missing out on jackpots, and your winnings are instantly transferred to you.”

Jackpot.com will be offering Mega Millions, Lucky for Life tickets, and Mass Cash, and with time, more games will come along.

The launch in Massachusetts comes with added perks for users in the state, who can enjoy a complimentary ticket on their initial play by simply using the promo code “MASS.”

In addition to the game selection and promotional incentives, Jackpot.com is committed to fostering a secure and responsible gaming environment. The app employs new technology to identify signs of problem gambling.

And it offers users features to assist them in seeking help if any risky behavior is detected, such as:

  • Setting daily limits
  • Self-suspension and self-exclusion
  • Automated notifications

This innovation also earned them a certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling. This makes them the only lottery service provider to launch with an iCap certification.

Massachusetts gaming revenue

According to the latest revenue report by the state’s gaming commission, Massachusetts’ November 2023 gaming revenue was $143 million, contributing $36.1 million in taxes to the state.

The Massachusetts Lottery, established in 1972, has accumulated over $149 billion in revenues to date. Lottery players within the state have enjoyed winnings totaling up to $105 billion.

More significantly, the lottery has disbursed over $32 billion in net profit. These funds have been instrumental in the development of towns and cities in Massachusetts, providing essential aid to citizens in local areas.

With existing investments in sports, entertainment, and gaming, Jackpot.com has garnered support from influential figures associated with Massachusetts institutions. Investors include:

  • Fenway Sports Group President Mike Gordon
  • Kraft Group
  • Former Red Sox GM Theo Epstein
  • Boston Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy

With such backing, Jackpot.com has the potential to establish itself as a major player in the lottery courier industry, poised to contribute.
