FanDuel is expanding its collaboration with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to give bettors better tools and information for responsible gambling. The two organizations have worked together since March 2024, providing education resources, self-assessment materials and professional counseling.
Cory Fox, senior vice president of public policy and sustainability at FanDuel, said the expansion reflects the operator’s ongoing effort to meet customers where they are with resources that work for them.
The partnership extends beyond FanDuel’s platform and into its broader community and employee programs. Both organizations see it as a model other gambling operators could follow.
FanDuel and Kindbridge focus on proactive support
Kindbridge, an online mental health provider, specializes in digital dependency, problem gambling, and related issues. Along with treatment, the organization prioritizes prevention and early intervention. Its focus aligns closely with FanDuel’s priorities, since gambling and mental health issues often intersect.
The two organizations share a common goal, says Daniel Umfleet, founder and CEO of Kindbridge: helping customers balance financial and emotional health. That includes identifying spending habits and making sure customers don’t spend more than they can afford.
Fox said Kindbridge’s emphasis on gambling disorders and its commitment to accessible treatment made it stand out. Gambling and mental health are deeply intertwined, he said, especially within the younger male demographic — a key reason FanDuel has prioritized expanding its behavioral health resources.
Kindbridge offers counseling, education and peer support
The partnership continues to create new opportunities for responsible gaming engagement. In March 2026, more than 6,000 FanDuel customers took part in a voluntary Kindbridge survey that helped bettors assess their relationship to gambling and their psychological health.
Fox said the survey’s goal was to proactively promote responsible gambling habits. FanDuel also offers a free mental health evaluation at the point of the self-exclusion process.
Through the Kindbridge platform, consumers can access educational courses and peer support groups, as well as one-on-one coaching and counseling sessions with licensed therapists.
The resources are designed to reach customers before problem gambling patterns develop. According to FanDuel, the goal of both organizations is to normalize proactive thinking around responsible and problem gambling.
FanDuel takes responsible gambling efforts beyond customers
The collaboration extends beyond individual customer support. FanDuel and Kindbridge have also partnered on employee education and financial wellness.
Umfleet said FanDuel engages in broader, community-oriented conversations beyond platform-based tools, calling the outward-looking approach a genuine differentiator for the operator.
Both leaders believe operator-behavioral health partnerships will grow more important across the gambling industry. Proactive companies send a clear message to regulators, Umfleet added, and that kind of action helps raise industry-wide standards for player protection.
This broader framing positions the partnership as more than a compliance exercise —it reflects an ongoing effort to normalize mental health conversations within gaming. Further surveys and program updates are expected throughout 2026.
