Formula 1 recently announced a new partnership with FanDuel, naming the premier online gaming company as its official betting operator in the US.
Notably, it’s the first time the auto racing organization has partnered with a sportsbook in the US.
How the partnership will work
Formula 1 will now directly integrate odds from the FanDuel sportsbook directly into the F1 Betting Guide as well as any editorial betting content on its website and app. This will help provide fans with betting context for every race.
Moreover, it will give them real-time insights, bringing them closer to the action.
FanDuel’s market-leading sportsbook will let fans engage with their favorite teams and drivers via diverse betting options. Current bet markets include race winners, head-to-head driver matchups, and podium finishes. The sportsbook plans to add new betting options later this year in time for the Formula 1 season.
FanDuel Managing Director Karol Corcoran said the partnership will benefit Formula 1 fans.
“Being named an official betting operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans. Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans.
“This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend.”
Jonny Haworth, director of commercial partnerships at Formula 1, said partnering with FanDuel was a strategic move to further engage Formula 1 fans.
“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new official betting operator in the United States and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1.
“As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market. With tens of millions of fans across the country, FanDuel is yet another avenue that eligible fans can enjoy and experience the thrill of Formula 1.”
