Mohegan Pennsylvania is kicking off its 20th anniversary celebration weeks before the milestone. A $200,000 giveaway opened Oct. 1, giving Momentum members about six weeks to earn entries before drawings Nov. 14, the casino’s anniversary date.

The giveaway is part of a larger lineup that includes a headline concert, a separate Metallica promotion and events honoring employees and community partners.

Momentum members can earn entries through Nov. 14

Momentum is Mohegan’s rewards program. Members earn Status Points by using their Momentum card while playing eligible games. The same play also earns Momentum Dollars, which can be redeemed for hotel stays, dining and entertainment.

From Oct. 1 through Nov. 14, each Status Point equals one giveaway entry. Bonus days multiply that: Fridays award 20 times the normal entries, and Sundays and Tuesdays award 10 times. The remaining Friday 20X days before the drawing are Oct. 16, 23 and 30, and Nov. 6 and 13.

The Pennsylvania casino has not announced drawing times, prizes or activation requirements. Guests must be 21 or older to participate.

Ernest concert and Metallica prize package

Country singer-songwriter Ernest will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Keystone Grand Ballroom, with Cody Lohden opening. Ernest is Grammy-nominated and has songwriting credits with Morgan Wallen and Florida Georgia Line. His latest album, “Deep Blue,” was released in May. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and moheganpa.com.

A separate promotion, running Nov. 1 through Nov. 13, gives Momentum members one entry per Status Point toward a Metallica getaway. The grand prize winner will receive:

  • A three-night stay at Mohegan Sun’s hotel in Connecticut
  • Two premium Metallica tickets
  • A $100 dining credit
  • A commemorative gift package

Four runner-up winners will each receive $1,250 in free slot play. The drawing is Friday, Nov. 13, which is also the last 20X day for the $200,000 giveaway.

The package centers on Metallica’s Nov. 19 and Nov. 21 shows at Mohegan Sun Arena, which mark the venue’s 25th anniversary and follow the band’s No Repeat Weekend format, with different set lists each night. Tribal gaming operator Mohegan Sun is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this fall.

Casino honors partners and 20-year employees

An exclusive appreciation event Nov. 4 will honor longtime community partners and employees marking 20 years with the company. Breakers will host a Community Appreciation Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. Local charities, nonprofits, business leaders and media representatives will be invited.

Mohegan Pennsylvania also highlighted its longstanding partnership with groups including Team Allied Services. Anthony Carlucci, president and general manager, said the celebration reflects the support of guests, employees and community partners.

A look back at 20 years

Mohegan Pennsylvania, formerly Mohegan Sun Pocono and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, opened Nov. 14, 2006, and took its current name in 2022. Sports betting began in 2019, and Embers Terrace opened in 2022.

In 2024, the property finished a $10 million hotel renovation and added a smoke-free gaming area with Aristocrat Gaming. Embers Terrace reopened in 2026 after a major refresh.

The 400-acre property in Plains has a 238-room hotel, nearly 60 live table games, more than 1,500 slot machines and electronic table games, and live harness racing, according to the casino’s news release.
