The Nash Casino donated $2.4 million to 12 New Hampshire nonprofits on July 21, the largest single-month charitable contribution in state history, according to a casino statement.
The donation, drawn from June gaming revenue, edged past The Nash’s previous record of $2.3 million, set in March. The casino, which opened March 5, 2025, in the Pheasant Lane Mall, is New Hampshire’s largest charitable gaming venue.
“We at The Nash could not be happier that these worthy nonprofits, each caring for their communities through their various missions, can benefit from our record-setting month of charitable contributions,” General Manager Eric Althaus said.
“We are always looking for ways to be more inclusive and partner with more nonprofits.”
Twelve NH nonprofits share record June donation
James E. Coffey American Legion Post 3 and Advocates Building Lasting Equality in New Hampshire each received about $229,000, the largest individual awards. The Hudson Community Food Pantry, New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, Nashua Community School and Greater Nashua Mental Health Center each received more than $196,000.
The mental health center’s award came months after a natural gas explosion destroyed its Amherst Street facility. “We serve over 5,000 patients each year,” Chief Operating Officer Maureen Ryan said.
“We are grateful for the support from The Nash, ensuring thousands of community members continue to gain access to high-quality behavioral health care, regardless of their ability to pay.”
The organization provides about $1.5 million in uncompensated care annually.
New Hampshire’s charitable gaming law requires casinos to direct a share of daily earnings — typically 35% of games-of-chance revenue — to rotating local nonprofits, a model state regulators pair with responsible gambling safeguards to ensure gaming revenue supports communities without encouraging harm.
The Nash also sent more than $2.25 million to state funds in June alone.
New Hampshire casino tops $28M in nonprofit giving
The Nash has now donated roughly $28.3 million to New Hampshire nonprofits since opening — already surpassing its full-year 2025 total of $12.5 million — according to Nashua, NH Patch.
Last December, the casino shortened nonprofit partnership cycles from seven days to five, letting more organizations benefit from its donations, according to Nashua Ink Link.
