Christopher Nolan’s IMAX epic The Odyssey finally sails into theaters this weekend.

It’s Nolan’s first movie since Oppenheimer, shot entirely on IMAX film, and stacked with a cast that includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya (as Athena), Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron. In other words, it’s the biggest mythology blockbuster in years, which makes this the perfect weekend to spin something with a little Mount Olympus energy of your own.

Below are 10 games—free slots and real-money slots—that fit the mood: mostly straight-up Greek mythology, with a couple of sword-and-sandals detours into gladiators and Rome (we’ll flag those when we get there — Odysseus never fought in a Colosseum, but the genre overlaps enough that we couldn’t leave them out).

Every game below is linked to a specific US online casino or social casino where you can play it. We did the research for you. These games are guaranteed to be in stock this week.

1. Rise of Olympus (Play’n GO)

The cluster-pays original that arguably started the modern “gods on a grid” trend. A “Wrath of Zeus” meter builds as you play and unlocks one of three different free spins modes, each with its own multiplier mechanic.

This Play’n Go game is considered one of the best-built Greek slots on the market.

Where to play it: BetMGM

If you’re not in a real-money casino state, there are also several Olympus-themed games at US sweepstakes casinos. I found great options from Booming Games at McLuck, for example.

2. Age of the Gods (Playtech)

The granddaddy of branded Olympus slots, built around Zeus, Athena, Hercules, Poseidon, Aphrodite, and Hermes. The signature “Age of the Gods” bonus is a pick-and-choose feature that leads into different free-games modes with escalating multipliers, and the Playtech slot series has spawned a full family of sequels and a linked jackpot network.

Where to play it: DraftKings

3. Medusa Megaways (Light & Wonder)

Instead of a hero, this one puts you face-to-face with the gorgon herself. Medusa’s Gaze turns reels beneath wilds to stone (in a good way — it locks in extra wilds), and the free spins carry an unlimited win multiplier that climbs with every tumble. High volatility, up to 50,000x max win on this Light & Wonder slot.

Where to play it: DraftKings

4. Hercules High and Mighty (Light & Wonder / Barcrest)

Zeus’s demigod son gets the spotlight here, flanked by Pegasus and Hera across up to 100 ways to win. It’s a strength-and-labors take on the mythology rather than a “gods on a throne” slot, which makes a nice change of pace if you’ve already spun through a dozen Zeus games this week.

Where to play it: Golden Nugget

5. Parthenon: Quest for Immortality (NetEnt)

Pegasus, triremes, and Medusa symbols dress up a comparatively gentler-volatility slot, making this NetEnt slot one of the more approachable Greek titles on this list if you want steadier, smaller hits rather than boom-or-bust spins.

Where to play it: Golden Nugget

6. Zeus 1000 (Light & Wonder)

This one doubles down, literally — Zeus 1000 runs a standard 5×4 reel set alongside a second, towering 5×12 “colossal” reel, for 100 paylines spinning at once. Land stacked wild temple symbols on the main reels and they transfer straight over to the colossal set, and the bonus (built around Zeus’s lightning-bolt scatter) can stack up to 1,000 extra Zeus symbols onto the colossal reel for a single supercharged spin. It’s the same big-format engine that powers Spartacus above, just with the King of the Gods running the show instead.

Where to play it: FanDuel — or try our free demo of Zeus 1000 first to see the colossal reel in action.

7. Power of Olympus (Booming Games)

A supersized 7-reel, 7-row cluster-pays slot where Zeus himself blasts winning clusters with lightning to clear the board for cascading wins. Free spins bring multipliers up to 100x, and the sheer scale of the grid makes for one of the more visually dramatic Olympus games out there.

Where to play it: Pulsz

The sword-and-sandals stretch: Rome joins the party

Here’s where we admit we’re wandering off Homer’s map. Odysseus never set foot in a Colosseum, and gladiators are a Roman institution, not a Greek one — but “ancient world hero fighting for his life in an arena” is close enough in spirit to The Odyssey‘s sandal-clad, monster-fighting energy that we wanted to include a couple of picks for anyone who wants their ancient-world slot session to have a little combat in it too.

8. Spartacus: Gladiator of Rome (WMS)

Built around the real historical gladiator-turned-rebel, this one runs on WMS’s signature Colossal Reels format — a standard 5×4 grid paired with a second, towering 5×12 reel set, giving you up to 100 paylines running simultaneously across both. Land Coliseum symbols on either set to trigger free spins with escalating multipliers.

Where to play it: FanDuel

As an alternative, if FanDuel isn’t available in your state, many social casinos offer Gladiator from Betsoft.

9. Gladiator Legends (Hacksaw Gaming)

A grittier, more violent take on the theme than most of the mythology-driven slots on this list — Hacksaw Gaming skips the gods entirely in favor of straight-up arena combat, with expanding “VS” reels that turn into head-to-head duels and multipliers up to 100x per line. A bonus-buy option is also available for anyone who wants to skip straight to the fight.

Where to play it: FanDuel

And finally, the one everybody already has open in another tab

10. Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play)

Gates of Olympus Thumbnail

No Greek mythology slot list is complete without it. Zeus looms beside a 6×5 grid with no paylines — just “pays anywhere” clusters of 8+ symbols, tumbling wins, and random multiplier orbs worth up to 500x. It’s high volatility with a 96.5% RTP and a 5,000x max win, and it’s the game most people picture when they hear “Greek mythology slot.”

We’re putting it last on purpose. Real-money and sweeps-coin availability has gotten messy since Pragmatic Play pulled its games from a number of US sweepstakes operators in September 2025 — some platforms still carry it, others (including Pulsz and McLuck) no longer do, and it comes and goes at real-money sites by state. Rather than send you chasing a lobby listing that may or may not be there, you can play our free demo of Gates of Olympus here right now — no sign-up, no wagering, just the reels, the multipliers, and Zeus doing his thing.

A note before you spin: Slot outcomes are random and the house always has an edge — these games are entertainment, not an investment strategy. If you’re playing at a sweepstakes casino, remember prizes are typically redeemed as sweepstakes coins rather than cash, and terms vary by state (a handful of states restrict sweepstakes casino play entirely). If gambling stops being fun, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-522-4700, available 24/7.

Enjoy the movie, and may the gods bless your reels.
