For the first time, the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will host a US Dealer Championship in 2025. The new competition puts casino dealers in the spotlight as they battle for the title of best in the business.
Blackjack and roulette dealers will go head-to-head, showcasing their table game skills. Contestants will be judged on technical ability, table control, hospitality, and other criteria. The three-day event runs Oct. 7-9 in Hall D at The Venetian Expo.
How the casino dealer championship elevates G2E 2025
The Global Gaming Expo has long been a hub for innovation and industry connections. It is the largest gathering of commercial, tribal, and international gaming professionals in North America.
With the launch of the US Dealer Championship, G2E aims to add a human element to its global brand. Instead of highlighting technology and new games, this tournament showcases the people behind the tables: the dealers.
The contest offers a chance to see what makes a dealer world-class. Competitors must demonstrate skill, flair, technical precision, and hospitality under pressure. Organizers view the event as an opportunity to recognize the professionals who ensure players have memorable experiences at the tables.
Blackjack, roulette, and more: Dealer skills on display
Competitors will face off in both blackjack and traditional roulette, with each round lasting 15 minutes. Judges—table games executives from each dealer’s casino—will both play in and evaluate the sessions. Scoring is based on:
- Technical skill
- Game control
- Quality of hospitality
Each category is rated on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. The format features multiple rounds, with eliminations as the competition progresses.
Which US casinos are sending their best dealers?
Dealers from 34 casino properties are already lined up to compete in the first US Dealer Championship, representing a wide range of the US gambling market. Notable participants include:
- Bellagio
- The Venetian
- Wynn
- The Cosmopolitan
- Pechanga Resort

Organizers expect the field to grow to as many as 40 competitors before the nomination window closes.
Who can compete in the casino dealer championship?
Dealers who are full-time, part-time, on-call, or dual-rate employees at legal, regulated US online casinos— or land-based casinos — are eligible to compete.
Employers must submit nominations through the official G2E Competitor Nomination form. The nominating individual must hold a director-level position in the table games department. Each property may nominate one dealer, and corporate entities may submit nominees from up to four casino properties.
The nomination window opened July 8, 2025, and closed Aug. 11, 2025.
