Lottery courier Lotto.com made history recently when a player from Arkansas recorded a $5.12 million jackpot win while using the service.
The win was the largest in the history of the courier, but also the largest in the history of the Arkansas Lotto game.
Couriers are private companies that allow players to order retail lottery tickets through a third-party website or mobile app. They differ from licensed retailers in a variety of ways.
Thus far in 2025, multiple couriers have seen their customers hit life-changing wins.
Record win comes from new Lotto.com customer
The winner, Kevin S., had only just recently decided to use Lotto.com.
Three weeks prior to his victory, the Arkansas native decided to use the courier. Kevin opted for a quick pick option for the February 1 Arkansas Lotto drawing.
That quick pick turned out to be the winning combination. He was notified of his jackpot victory by the courier. Due to the prize being above $600, Lotto.com had to arrange to get Kevin the winning ticket so he could cash it in at an Arkansas Lottery office.
The winner stated in a press release that the victory is “surreal right now.”
Thomas Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com, discussed the courier’s joy in having this winning moment.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate this record-breaking win! Seeing a player win over $5 Million on our platform is an incredible milestone for Lotto.com.
“We are proud to have been able to provide him with convenient access to this jackpot!”
Mega Millions jackpot won through courier
The Lotto.com victory is following in the footsteps of fellow courier, Jackpocket, which had a customer win the $112 million Mega Millions jackpot in January.
That prize is the largest to ever come from a courier.
In total, five different couriers operate in the US in 19 different states, as well as Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. They offer an option for an online lottery in states that don’t have an official online lottery, while also operating in some states that do.
Lotto.com currently operates in 11 different states:
- Arizona

- Massachusetts
- Minnesota
- Nebraska
- New Jersey
- New York
- Ohio
- Oregon

Of the 11 states, Lotto.com is able to offer the sale of select retail scratch tickets in Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas.
