The Dragon Train has made its first stop in North America’s online iGaming market, pulling into the New Jersey, Michigan and West Virginia online casino markets via prominent online operator BetMGM Casino.
The Dragon Train franchise is built by the well-known game studio Light & Wonder and has four different titles that many US online casino customers can play. BetMGM also noted that Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is home to a land-based Dragon Train title.
BetMGM Vice President of Gaming Product & Content Oliver Bartlett said in news release that the company is excited to bring Dragon Train to the U.S. after the game has experienced overseas success:

Light & Wonder’s Dragon Train game franchise includes the following four titles:
- Chi Lin Wins
- Khutulun Battle Princess
- Sun Shots
- Forever Emporer
The games are available at dozens of land-based gaming properties, including locations in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois.
The online version of the game is live in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia. Those three states combined for $388.5 million of the $625.1 million that online casinos produced in June. Such a significant share of the country’s iGaming market is a good sign for Dragon Train.
If the game’s overseas popularity translates to the U.S. online casino universe, it’s likely to be a fan favorite and steady source of revenue for BetMGM and Light & Wonder.
