Last week, BetMGM announced the rollout of Borgata Arcade through the Borgata Online casino app in New Jersey.
Borgata Online is a website and app owned by the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. Through a partnership, the online casino platform is being powered by BetMGM.
What to expect from Borgata’s new online casino feature
The Borgata Arcade, which is “non-traditional iGaming content,” consists of well over 120 titles featuring:
- LuckyTap content
- Scratch games
- Slingo
- Keno
- Arcade games like
- Game-themed online slots like MONOPOLY, Triple Slime Space Invaders, and Ghostbusters
In a BetMGM’s casino news, Angus Nisbet, the vice president of gaming at BetMGM, said that Borgata Arcade is gearing up to deliver a host of additional titles and features for players to look forward to.
“Borgata Arcade combines familiar titles that have enjoyed decades of success at brick-and-mortar casinos with games exclusively available online. The selection truly captures the fun and excitement of an arcade, and we look forward to bringing it to even more of our customers soon.”
“Borgata Arcade offers an all-in-one place for players to find their favorite games. From the traditional shopping mall arcade to its popularity in home consoles, the arcade continues to evolve as BetMGM now brings it to life in iGaming,” Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s chief revenue officer, added.
Borgata Arcade comes bearing gifts
To unlock the latest online casino content, players should sign up on the Borgata Online app, which is accessible on iOS, Android, and desktop through casino.borgataonline.com.
Once registered, players can simply click the ‘arcade’ icon to explore its offerings. Players who spend at least $20 on any game will qualify for the ‘Pick a Power-Up’ prize board.
This provides them with an opportunity to select an arcade-themed power-up and potentially win a bonus of up to $1,000.
BetMGM’s extensive online offerings in New Jersey
The online casino and sports betting company boasts well over 1,500 gaming titles and is also one of the largest state-by-state exclusive jackpot networks. In the first half of this year, BetMGM awarded approximately $75 million in jackpots, inching closer to the significant $100 million milestone set in 2022.
One of the key factors driving BetMGM’s expansion efforts is its presence in New Jersey, which is one of the six states with legal approval for online casinos featuring both slots and table games.
In August, BetMGM launched Dual Play Roulette with the Borgata Online casino in New Jersey. Then, in October, the online casino operator also introduced a hybrid dealer game Bonus City in the Garden State.
BetMGM and Borgata are gaming industry’s dominant players
Borgata has solidified itself as one of the most profitable facilities in Atlantic City, with a gross gaming revenue (GGR) exceeding $724.4 million in the previous year. Hard Rock came in second with $492.3 million, still a considerable distance from Borgata.
Last year, Borgata’s online casino performance earned it a spot on the list of top-performing online casinos in New Jersey. Both BetMGM and Borgata Online won $496.2 million from online casino players in 2022.
On the other hand, BetMGM’s parent company, Entain, reported in its Q3 financial update for 2023 that the total group revenue, including BetMGM, experienced a 7% year-over-year increase. BetMGM alone contributed $458 million in revenue, reflecting 15% annual growth.
This growth is largely attributed to its online gaming operations, which saw a year-on-year revenue increase of 22%.
