If roulette is one of your games of choice, the latest offering from BetMGM Casino and Borgata online casino truly allows you to take a seat at the table from anywhere in New Jersey. That includes the gaming floor of the physical Borgata casino in Atlantic City.

This collaboration between the Borgata Atlantic City and BetMGM features the debut of Evolution Gaming’s dual-play capabilities. For players, the game represents an expansion of popular live dealer games. For both BetMGM and MGM Resorts, it opens up new potential for cross-selling players.

Dual Play Roulette comes to New Jersey

According to BetMGM’s The Roar, visitors to the Borgata in Atlantic City will find a new, unique roulette table on the casino’s gaming floor. The table is adorned with cameras but they are not there to provide security.

Rather, those cameras enable New Jersey online casino players to take part in the live game happening at the Borgata. Dual-Play Roulette “allows players at the physical roulette table in the casino and online players to participate in the same game.”

The Roar also says that Dual Play Roulette “is the first Evolution [Gaming] dual-play game at an MGM property in North America. Players can access the game via either the BetMGM Casino or Borgata Casino apps in New Jersey.

The Roar stresses that the game has been popular so far, receiving the British Gaming Awards’ Best United Kingdom Table Game Product honor. For online players, the added element of “taking a seat” with players at the physical table presents a new twist on live dealer games.

Whether players in New Jersey will give it as high marks as the British Gaming Awards is too early to tell. For BetMGM and the Borgata, though, it could prove a marketing strategy they want to build on.

First but perhaps not the last dual-play casino game

The appeal of letting online players join a physical roulette game for MGM Resorts is it acts as a natural marketing tool for the casino. Players can see the gaming floor and experience interacting with other players in person. The hope is that they will want more of that experience.

There’s an equal hope for BetMGM, too. Players at the Borgata who may be reluctant to try BetMGM’s online gambling products might be more likely to give the apps a try after discovering they can access dual-play games.

Should the game have those effects, BetMGM and MGM Resorts could expand upon it with Evolution to bring even more dual-play games to the Borgata. That expansion could spread to other markets like Michigan, as MGM Resorts operates the MGM Grand Detroit. BetMGM Casino is available in that state as well.

The novelty of this game is that players could theoretically experience both sides of the dual-play option, just not at the same time. BetMGM and MGM Resorts hopes players will do exactly that.
