As Problem Gambling Awareness Month ended, the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) accredited Caesars Sportsbook after thoroughly assessing the operator’s commitment to encouraging responsible gaming.
In addition to following responsible gambling guidelines, Caesars Sportsbook (NASDAQ: CZR) was subjected to evaluations in player education, security protocols and staff training.
In a Caesars Entertainment news release, President of Caesars Digital Eric Hession said the accreditation shows the company is on the right path and efforts to secure players have followed responsible gambling protocals.
“We are honored to receive the RG Check accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council. For more than 30 years, Caesars Entertainment has been at the forefront of Responsible Gaming, implementing policies that have carried over to Caesars Sportsbook to educate our players on how to play responsibly and providing responsible gaming tools.
This acknowledgment validates our efforts to continue to improve our Responsible Gaming practices and ensure our players are gaming with us for the right reasons. We’re proud to further enhance our Responsible Gaming initiatives available through Caesars Sportsbook.”
The Responsible Gambling Council accreditation is a big deal
Based in Toronto, the RGC operates as an autonomous, non-profit entity focused on preventing problem gambling. The organization commits to this cause by undertaking various initiatives, including developing and implementing awareness and informational campaigns.
Caesar’s certification distinguishes it from other honors by signifying adherence to strict requirements and unwavering standards, according to a news release. The RGC says it awards this accreditation to the industry’s most ethical operators.
At the same time last year, the RGC awarded BetMGM, with the the same accreditation.
RGC Chief Executive Officer Shelly White said Caesars earning accreditation means the operator carries out responsible gambling practices.
“Congratulations to Caesars Sportsbook for receiving their RG Check accreditation. RG Check is the world’s most comprehensive gambling accreditation program. Developed in consultation with policymakers, gambling providers, players, and people who have experienced gambling harm.
It is also backed by rigorous safeguards that protect players and foster a sustainable player base. An RG Check Accreditation means Caesars Sportsbook has achieved the highest standards for their Responsible Gambling practices.”
Industry insiders praise Caesars for having an impressive self-exclusion policy.
The operator recently unveiled an improved 21+ gaming policy as part of its continuous efforts to encourage safe gaming behaviors. This program limits membership in its loyalty program to those 21 years of age or older.
