Caesars is stepping up its live-dealer offerings. The company announced its iGaming division, Caesars Digital, has partnered with live-dealer specialist Evolution to launch a live-dealer studio in Tropicana Atlantic City.
Evolution North America CEO Jacob Claesson said in an Evolution press release that Caesars was the perfect candidate to partner with because of the company’s dedication to online casinos:
“When presented with the opportunity to launch our third live studio in Atlantic City, we knew Tropicana would be the ideal location. We’re impressed by Caesars’ dedication and look forward to collaborating with them as they continue to expand their branded studio presence.”
The Tropicana launch is part of an expansion partnership that includes the addition of Caesars branding to Evolution’s existing studios in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Why the Evolution-Caesars news matters
In the world of online casinos, there’s a lot of money to be made. iGaming operators like Caesars turn to companies like Evolution to improve their game library to win customers and generate more revenue.
Live-dealer games take online casinos to the next level, giving the player the chance to get a personalized table-game experience on their device. Evolution’s live-dealer games include:
- Blackjack
- Roulette
- Poker
- Baccarat
- Craps
- Game shows
Caesars’ move to partner on building a new studio at Tropicana AC and brand two Evolution live studios should help it retain users who are loyal to the Caesars brand. Caesars Senior Vice President Matthew Sunderland said that its iGaming customers show an “affinity” for live-dealer games:
“With this in mind, partnering on a deeper level with Evolution, the market leader in live casino offerings, made a lot of sense. We trust that our players will be excited by these best-in-class live casino experiences and can’t wait to see how our new dedicated live dealer studio spaces come together at Tropicana Atlantic City and in other jurisdictions where iGaming is live.”
What the deal means for Caesars
The New Jersey online casino market is a competitive one with nearly $200 million in revenue at stake.
Business is booming, too. In January, New Jersey online casinos broke a revenue record for the fourth straight month. iGaming generated $183.3 million, marking the second consecutive month that revenue topped $180 million.
The Caesars Digital division of Caesars Entertainment has been the company’s golden egg for growth. In its Q4 and full-year 2023 earning report, Caesars Digital’s revenue was $38 million. This is nearly an 80% increase from the same period in 2022.
While adding a new live-dealer studio from Evolution won’t boost Caears revenue numbers by millions, it does increase the chances that Caesars will retain its existing customers and bring new customers in. Those incremental steps will strengthen Caesars’ foothold in New Jersey.
Caesars’ branding at Evolution’s studios in the other top US iGaming markets, Michigan and Pennsylvania, should help improve its online casino revenue, too.
