Fanatics Betting and Gaming launched an online sportsbook in Virginia, which marks the seventh state for the operator. The Fanatics Sportsbook is also available in:
- Kentucky
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Ohio
- Tennessee
- West Virginia
The Virginia launch comes only a week after the online sports betting platform debuted in West Virginia.
In August, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring the US business of PointsBet, promising a simple transition to the new Fanatics Sportsbook app.
Promise of easy migration from PointsBet to Fanatics Sportsbook
Each customer’s data in Virginia will be automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook. That includes:
- Username and password
- Account balance
- Rewards
- Responsible gaming settings
PointsBet members in Virginia are advised to download the Fanatics Sportsbook on iOS and Android to begin their gaming. Then, log in using the same email address and password used on PointsBet.
That way, any remaining balance from the PointsBet account will be transferred to the new Fanatics Sportsbook account.
What can Fanatics Sportsbook players expect in Virginia?
In a Fanatics Sportsbook press release, it announced a 7-day Rewards Surge promotion that was available during the Thanksgiving weekend.
The Fanatics Sportsbook offers up to 5% back in FanCash on bets. Fanatics likes to emphasize it is “poised to disrupt” the sports betting industry by offering its rewards program and other features.
FanCash is “the backbone of the Fanatics loyalty program” and can be converted dollar-for-dollar into Bonus Bets. Customers can use points to purchase their favorite team merchandise.
FanCash rewards come in the form of three types of bets:
- 5% rewards on same-game parlay bets
- 3% rewards on parlay bets
- 1% rewards on straight bets and odds boosts
Moreover, the sportsbook platform features the Fanatics Sportsbook Discover page. The page aims to provide a more personalized experience while offering access to trending bets, games, promos and rewards.
Fanatics launched a similar promotion when launching the sportsbook in West Virginia last week. The company also made a similar move in Ohio, but Buckeye State regulators ordered an end to a promotion that links sportsbook bonuses to merchandise purchases.
Given how quickly Fanatics Sportsbook launched in Virginia after just rolling out in West Virginia, it’s possible to see the operator entering new states soon.
