Fanatics Betting and Gaming, the sports betting division of Fanatics, has opened its 10th sportsbook in Connecticut.

Its newest book is located at Total Mortgage Arena, which is the home of the American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Islanders and the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s PWHL New York.

Fanatics Sportsbook at Total Mortgage Arena is 2,300 square feet and includes a full-service restaurant.

Connecticut launched its partnership with Fanatics in December.

How sports betting will look at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT

The new Fanatics Sportsbook in Bridgeport will offer all the baseline amenities:

  • Sports betting windows where you can place a wager with a member of the sportsbook staff
  • Sports betting kiosks where you can place a wager through a machine
  • Full-service dining
  • High-definition TVs

Gamblers can place bets on all major sports betting leagues including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA football, ATP Tour, LIV Golf, the PGA TOUR, and soccer leagues such as the English Premier League.

Fans can earn points for Fanatics retail purchases

One of the interesting aspects of Connecticut sports betting is that Fanatics customers can earn “FanCash” whenever they place bets. FanCash refers to rewards points that Fanatics sports betting and retail customers earn when they make purchases.

While retail customers earn 3% on purchases, sports betting customers earn FanCash at the following rates:

  • Straight bet: Up to 1% of the amount bet
  • Parlay: Up to 3% of the amount bet
  • Same-game parlay: Up to 5% of the amount bet

Bettors can their FanCash balances in two ways: as bonus bets on Fanatics Sportsbook or as discounts on eligible merchandise purchases made on Fanatics.com.

Fanatics expands Connecticut sports betting kingdom

The launch of Fanatics’ Bridgeport retail sportsbook brings the total number of Connecticut retail sportsbook locations to 10. Here’s where those sportsbooks are located:

  • XL Center in Hartford
  • Bobby’s V’s in Stamford and Windsor Locks
  • Sports Haven in New Haven
  • Five Winners’ off-track-betting properties

Connecticut also offers a Fanatics online sportsbook.

From a revenue perspective, Connecticut has been on a hot streak. The sportsbook has hit multiple milestones since the NFL season started in September. Handle (total amount bet) surpassed $180 million for the first time in September. At the time, it was a record.

However, that record was broken for three consecutive months after that. October hit $189.6 million, November rose to $205.7 million, and December set the still-standing record at $212.2 million.

Handle stayed above $200 million in January, then dipped to $162.8 million in February. And, this month, the state’s total handle since it launched in October 2021 should surpass $4 billion.
