Golden Nugget Joins Thriving Pennsylvania Online Casino Market

Golden Nugget Online Gaming announced it has launched its online casino in Pennsylvania.

The Golden Nugget Online Gaming casino app is powered by DraftKings and includes more than 500 slot and table games. As part of the agreement, Golden Nugget uses DraftKings’ technology, as well as live dealer and exclusive titles.

Matt Kalish, president of DraftKings North America, said in a news release:

Pennsylvania is Golden Nugget’s fourth online casino state.

Golden Nugget has been eyeing Pennsylvania online casino market since 2021

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) unanimously gave final license approval for Golden Nugget Online Casino in July.

Over a month ago, the PGCB designated Golden Nugget Casino as an out-of-state operator. The operator received the Qualified Gaming Entity (QGE) status in March 2021, alongside certificates for online slots and table games.

Bally Casino is the other QGE license holder in Pennsylvania, launching at the beginning of June.

According to the PGCB, 18 online casino apps in Pennsylvania registered $157.1 million in revenue in July. Even though July was a slow month for the gambling industry, casinos in the state remain strong. Although the figure was down from June 2023’s 164.3 million, July 2023 numbers are still 27% up from the $123.2 million generated a year ago.
