Just weeks after announcing the groundbreaking for its permanent site construction, Catawba Two Kings Casino has introduced its first table games at the temporary facility in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

In a press release, Catawba Nation Chief Brian Harris emphasized that despite the ambitious plans for the permanent site, expected to be completed in 2026, the current facility will not be neglected, and further developments will continue at the temporary location. Harris said:

“While we are thrilled that construction is underway on our major casino resort, we are continuing to invest in our current gaming facility to broaden its appeal to residents and visitors to the greater Charlotte area and South Carolina.

We anticipate the live table games will be very popular and give people who have not been to the casino a great reason to visit.”

Key takeaways

  • Catawba Two Kings Casino has expanded its offering with twelve new table games and sixty-four slot machines at its temporary facility.
  • Despite the ongoing construction of its permanent site, the casino remains committed to expanding its current gaming facility.
  • The casino’s expansion and construction projects create job opportunities and improve revenue generation.

What tables games were added to Catawba Two Kings Casino?

Since June 17, players can enjoy the newly added twelve table games and the sixty-four slot machines included in the expanded floor of the Catawba Two Kings Casino.

Some of the new table games:

  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • Craps
  • Mini Baccarat
  • Three-card poker
  • Mississippi Stud Poker

NC casino promises new jobs and major facility upgrade

The Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort opened its doors in July 2021 and has steadily grown to feature:

  • Over 1,000 gaming machines including electronic table games
  • Retail sportsbook
  • Food truck and a casual dining area

The new casino expansion, however, promises an even larger facility to enhance the gaming and entertainment experience for visitors with:

  • Approximately 4,300 slot machines
  • 100 table games
  • Six bars
  • Dedicated player’s lounge

The current construction site serves as an avenue for job employment for the town. And the introduction of the table games also calls for 135 new positions at the casino.

Hence, it conducted a free dealer school in Kings Mountain to support the operation and management of the table games. Some of the open positions include dealers, table managers, and supervisors.

Upon completion of the $700 million casino in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, 2,000 permanent job roles are expected to be filled as well. Harris said a few weeks ago:

“This project will not only generate revenue for our tribe but also provide jobs, education, and social programs that will benefit our members and the surrounding region.”

Online sports betting is still relatively new in the Tar Heel State but has performed exceptionally well, meeting revenue expectations. To capitalize on this booming market, the Catawba Nation has applied for an online sports betting license in North Carolina.

Although online casinos are currently not legal in the state, other forms of online gambling are available for residents to enjoy.
