The Oklahoma Lottery has welcomed new games to its family. Scientific Games announced it has launched more of its FastPlay terminal-generated instant-win games in the Sooner State.
The games offer instant-win tickets along with a progressive jackpot. Jay Finks, executive director of the Oklahoma Lottery said the partnership is a big win for lottery customers:
“Our new FastPlay games offer Oklahoma players the fun of progressive jackpots combined with the thrill of the opportunity to win instantly. FastPlay is a great, innovative addition to our product portfolio that complements the entertainment experience offered by our Scratchers and draw games.”
While the lottery is legal, state lawmakers have yet to expand Oklahoma gambling to allow online sports betting and online casinos.
FastPlay franchise has been a huge success for Oklahoma Lottery
Like the jackpots offered for FastPlay, Scientific Games’ rollout of FastPlay has been progressive.
The company went live with its first Oklahoma FastPlay games in October. Since then, the company said, FastPlay has become “one of the Lottery’s top-performing” game categories.
FastPlay has generated more than $2 million in sales since its launch around four months ago. That fast start is exactly what Scientific Games executive John Schulz had hoped would happen.
“[FastPlay] games were planned as a strategic addition to the Oklahoma Lottery’s portfolio to help drive sales across the portfolio and create incremental revenues to benefit schools, students and teachers in the state,” Schulz said in a statement.
The latest FastPlay games are the first instant-win progressive jackpot games in the state. Players can participate by purchasing FastPlay tickets in $2, $5, and $10 denominations.
Long-time Oklahoma gambling partners
While the FastPlay developments are relatively new, the relationship between Scientific Games and the Oklahoma Lottery is not.
The two companies have been working together since 2005. Scientific Games won its first gaming contract with the state in 2013. At the time, the contract covered everything from printing instant tickets and providing terminals to warehousing and distribution.
Since then, the relationship has continued to expand. In late 2020, Scientific Games announced it won a 10-year contract to support central lottery gaming services.
Around that same time, the Lottery surpassed $1 billion in contributions to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund. Finks, who worked for the Oklahoma Lottery at the time, praised Scientific Games’ teamwork.
“The Oklahoma Lottery recognizes Scientific Games’ partnership and commitment to helping our organization succeed. Their contribution to our business has been a major factor in our recent success and why we can celebrate hitting the $1 billion mark,” Finks said.
